Data deletion request
Diwaller processes public comments from social media accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) on behalf of the account owner (the tenant), who explicitly granted consent via OAuth. If you are the author of a comment moderated by Diwaller, or a Diwaller user, here is how to request deletion of your data.
1. You are the author of a moderated comment
Three options:
- Contact the owner of the channel or page where your comment was posted. They are the effective data controller and can erase your data from their Diwaller dashboard.
- Email us at [email protected] with: the platform concerned (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok), your public identifier or username on that platform, and if possible the URL or excerpt of the comment in question. We respond within 30 days.
- Facebook / Instagram users: you can remove Diwaller from your Meta account settings (Settings → Apps and websites). This triggers an automatic deauthorization but does not delete previously processed data — for that, use one of the options above.
2. You are a Diwaller user (tenant)
You can delete your account and all associated data from your dashboard (Settings → Account → Delete my account), or by writing to [email protected].
Deletion triggers: immediate revocation of OAuth connections (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok); permanent erasure of imported comments, author profiles, moderation actions, encrypted OAuth credentials, and the user account itself; within 30 days at the latest.
3. Data retained after deletion
In accordance with our legal obligations (GDPR article 6.1.c, French commercial code), we may retain anonymized metadata (technical logs, audit trails) for the legally required duration, without any ability to link them to a personal identity.
4. Your rights
Beyond deletion, you have full GDPR rights (access, rectification, portability, restriction, objection). See our privacy policy for full details.
